About Anita Peach

WPA

My background is in Cartography and Technical Graphics. In the mid 90’s I took a Degree in 3D Design, specialising in Ceramics at the University of the West of England, Bristol. I was fortunate to be taught by both Wally Keeler and Mo Jupp. About this time I joined the Westcountry Potters Association and worked for 3 years as their Exhibition Officer.

I have tried many types of alternative firing methods whilst at college, but Raku still excites me and is particularly suitable to portray the seabirds I am so interested in. I try to visit sites where I can observe the birds each holiday such as the Farne Isles, Pembrokeshire or the Hebrides. The rest of the year I regularly go bird watching at my local Nature Reserves in Somerset.
