“Silver-Birch inspired vessels”

Working predominately with different Stoneware Clays. I find inspiration walking in the Devon and Cornish landscape and have an endless fascination with natural forms, light and contours.

I forage for Wild Clay and Minerals adding them to my work which helps to produce tactile textures. Adopting different mark making techniques to each piece gives them a totally. unique finish. Bisque fired to 980oC, they are then enhanced with oxides and glazes before a final firing up to 1245oC. I also make a small range of domestic ware on the wheel.

Exhibiting in the last 3 Devon Open Studios, I also regularly take part in local Pop up Shops, Farmers Markets and Craft Fairs. I run workshops and 1-2-1 lessons from my Garden Studio near Newton Abbot.
