Gabrielle Koch Presentation 2013

Friday 19th April, 2.00 – 4.30pm
Woodbury Village Hall, Flower Street, Woodbury EX5 1LX

My work and new developments A talk and power point presentation. Gabrielle says that she tries to integrate `balance and tension, stillness and movement, expansion and the containment of volume.’ In her work without glazes, Gabrielle Koch uses the combination of different raw clays to create a contrasting surface between heavily grogged black clay and porcelain. This combination affords Gabrielle the opportunity to create strong graphic designs in contrasting colours. See WPA newsletter 121, page 12, for Jeanne Gimblett’s appreciation of Gabrielle Koch’s work.
