WPA Activities go Virtual

Important Announcement for WPA Members

We are pleased and excited to announce the initial WPA programme of virtual presentations and demonstrations which will be delivered via Zoom. Whilst this is not the same experience as meeting in person it does mean that we can invite well-known potters from further afield.
The events will take place on alternate Saturday mornings commencing at 10:30 for an 11:00 start, and will generally last up to 90 minutes, closing at 12:30. Attendance will be limited to roughly 90 WPA members only via advance online booking.
Subject to final confirmation the initial programme of 4 events will feature the following potters commencing on 11th July:
1. Wendy Lawrence
2. Caroline Genders
3. Linda Bloomfield
4. John Stroomer
John Stroomer is joining us from Australia and his will be a double session, commencing slightly earlier and with a 30 minute comfort break roughly half way through.
The final good news is that these first 4 sessions will be free of charge!
When we have confirmed the final schedule, members will receive a separate email for each event containing a link where they can book to attend. Once attendance has been confirmed the meeting connection details will be emailed.
We very much hope that these will be successful, in which case we will schedule further events for which however we will make a charge. Hopefully we’ll be back to normal before too long but if successful we may continue to have occasional virtual sessions as part of our general programme of events. (MH)
